1. Current cookie approach
Gather HQs currently uses cookies and similar browser storage that are necessary to provide, protect, and remember the Service. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising trackers.
Because the current first-party cookies are essential rather than optional advertising or analytics cookies, disabling them may prevent sign-in, forms, checkout handoffs, or other features from working.
2. Browser storage used by Gather HQs
| Purpose | Examples | Why it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Session and sign-in | Session identifiers | Keeps an authenticated person signed in and connects requests to the correct secure session. |
| Form and request security | CSRF protection tokens | Helps prevent another site from submitting an unauthorized request on a user’s behalf. |
| Preferences and continuity | Short-lived interface or workflow state | Remembers a choice needed to complete a requested workflow. |
| Abuse prevention and reliability | Security and request signals | Supports rate limiting, troubleshooting, and protection of accounts and forms. |
3. Subscriber sites
Subscriber subdomains use the same essential platform protections when a visitor registers, responds, submits a form, or uses another interactive feature. Subscriber page content itself does not authorize a subscriber to add independent tracking code through the standard Gather HQs editor.
4. Stripe and other hosted pages
When you continue to a Stripe-hosted checkout, billing portal, or connected-account onboarding page, Stripe may set its own cookies for payment processing, fraud prevention, security, and service operation. Those cookies are controlled by Stripe and governed by Stripe’s notices. An independent link outside Gather HQs is governed by that provider’s practices.
5. Browser controls and privacy signals
Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies. Blocking essential storage may sign you out, discard an in-progress form, or prevent protected requests from completing. Browser “Do Not Track” settings are not consistently defined. Gather HQs does not currently sell or share information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no advertising sale or sharing to opt out of through a Global Privacy Control signal.
6. Future changes
If optional analytics, advertising, or other non-essential technologies are introduced, this notice will be updated and any consent or opt-out controls required by applicable law will be provided before those technologies are used.
